California City Internet will provide you with a connection to the
Internet. While most services on the Internet are free, some do charge.
Our basic dialup package is $20 month for unmetered service. This account
is not intended to provide a dedicated connection to the Internet.
(If you require this type of service please let us know, and we will
set you up with the proper service).
We reserve the right to terminate your service if we suspect.
1. Simultaneous logins.
2. Excessive number of hours used.
3. Connect times lasting more than 8 hours.
4. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
California City Internet is dedicated to providing you a reliable
connection to the Internet. We have backup systems for 80 % of our
equipment. We back up our hard drives every night. Our system is protected
by a battery backup UPS, we can run for several hours without electricity.
However please keep in mind that some things are beyond our control.

We can not and will not be responsible for the quality of the public
telephone system, your computer, your software or your modem.
California City Internet reserves the right to bring the system down
for
repairs or upgrades. We will try to schedule this during the off hours.
We
will try to notify you in advance when possible.
We will credit your account if you are unable to use your basic 100
hours
because of our system failure. Please notify us if you are unable to
login.
PRIVACY POLICY
We will not sell or give out any information regarding our customers.
However we must comply with court ordered subpoena requesting information
on our customers.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
We have adopted a philosophy that assumes the honesty and good intent
of
our subscribers, therefore our services are provided in as unrestricted
a
manner as possible to allow our users to have the richest Internet
experience possible.
The extent of the "rules" that we enforce on our users is simply what
the
law demands of us.
REGULATIONS
1. We are required by law to report any criminal activity that we become
aware of. This applies particularly to software piracy. Be warned that
if
we find commercial software stored on our server, we will report it
and
immediately terminate your service.
2. You may not make threats against another person via e-mail or news
or
any other electronic media/service we provide. We are prepared to defend
your right to free speech to our fullest ability, but we will not defend
you if you violate this simple rule.
3. You may not mount an attack against our system or any other. This
includes mail bombing (sending three or more unsolicited pieces of
e-mail
or files exceeding 200K), "hacking" or attempting to gain root access,
tsunami or flood bots or annoyance utilities like "nuke1" or 11flashtt.
4. You may not send "spam" email or flood the usenet news with a single
post to a large number newsgroups not related to the topic of your
article.
OUR RULES
1. Only one dial-in per account at a time. This means that you cannot
call
in on two modems at the same time. If you are found logged in more
than
once over a modem connection we will automatically assume that your
password has been compromised and will immediately suspend your account.
There are some
circumstances when we may permit multiple dial-ins, please contact
us if
you have a need to do so.
2. Trying to "hack" root login on our machines is forbidden.
3. Making public or providing any of our system files to other users
of the
Internet is forbidden.
4. It is forbidden to run packet sniffers or similar programs.
5. You may not disturb other users' files or directories.
6. You may not run software designed to cause our system to stop working
correctly.
7. You can not put any "adult" material on our servers.
8. You can not put any type of material that is protected by copyright
laws
on our servers
9. You are not allowed to Telnet to any of our servers.
10. We only allow anonymous FTP to our server.
11. You may not "loan" out your account to anyone outside your household.
12. Note: It is up to You to make sure that your Modem properly
disconnects. Failure to do so will run up a large connect bill. You
will be
charged Any time your modem is connected to ours. We recommend that
you
connect a telephone to your modem so you can pick up your telephone
receiver
and check for a dial tone.
NOTE. We simply ask that our users use common sense and try not to do
things that cause us or other users of our service or the Internet
any
harm.
MISC.
Keep in mind that any software that you receive off the Internet is
a
potential candidate for a virus infection. This does not need to be
a
problem.

2. Back up your hard drive to tape. Tape backup units are only $119
and can
save you a lot of work.
Keep in mind that some systems on the Internet may contain pictures
and
text that may be considered pornographic or offensive.
California City Internet can not "block" or "screen" this data.
General Disclaimer
California City Internet does not warranty the usefulness or accuracy
of
theinformation on the Internet. We will not be responsible for any
dealings
or contacts with other parties that you may make while using our service.
California City Internet can not be expected to fix problems beyond
our
control, bad or noisy phone lines, electrical failures, computer virus
infections,reconfiguring your hardware or software. System access may
be
limited during "prime time" hours. The only refunds we offer are credits
to
your account if OUR system down time prevents you from using your basic
100
hours. This credit must be used during the following month. If your
account is closed
for any reason, i.e. nonpayment a $15.00 service fee will be charged
to reopen the
account.
