Hello from John & MaryLou, Murphy, new Co-Chairpersons of the Board of Trustees.
We held our first meeting of the year February 21st. It was good to have
every member of the Board present plus one guest. We especially
appreciated the help and guidance given us by the more experienced
trustees. David Brottlund
shared a positive Budget Report. There is an insert with details. Our Personnel Chairperson, Ange Kovach, shared a recent concern in the Child Care
area, which has been resolved. Kathy Wagner, a professional
child care person, has volunteered her help, as needed by Genevieve, until
a qualified permanent helper can be found. Bob Wagner has some projects
going that will be completed as his health permits. Dick Hatfield,
Building Chairperson, and John Murphy presented a new idea suggested by two of
our Church Belles, to convert the Ed Building's men's restroom into a
kitchen. This would be a much-needed improvement for our fellowship
functions. One construction bid has been received and others will be
sought. This project will be studied further and several questions
answered. We will keep you informed on the progress. Let's all get excited about
this New Year and the good things God can do for our Church and community
